2017 Taste of Waterville
Celebrating 25 Years at the Taste of Waterville.
After 25 years it is still all about the food. Almost since the beginning, the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce has worked to make this signature community event grow to meet the changing tastes of the community and the visitors who come to enjoy all the tastes we offer every year. Thank you for coming.
If you are hungry for a taste of the taste, head to the Bite Booths over by Haines Park. Here you’ll be able to pick and choose from cuisine from around the globe including: authentic Indian, Asian, Lebanese, Italian, and Mexican; as well as eclectic American plates, proper pub fare, tasty barbeque, fresh Maine seafood, chewy & delicious bagels, plus an array of other sandwiches and beverages to enjoy. And as usual, the local restaurant booths can be found end-to-end up and down Main Street.
Those looking to do a little shopping will be pleased as well, with a selection that includes women’s clothing, home furnishings, jewelry, Maine-made products, art, toys, books, and much more all from stores, shops, and boutiques from around Waterville.
Those looking for a place to cool off and grab some suds with friends will find the beer garden is in Castonguay Square; and in Camden National’s pocket park, Emery’s Meat & Produce will be offering a live grilling demonstration.
And more than just a huge assortment of foods on offer, the Taste of Waterville serves up fun stuff for the kids – like this year’s inflatable tiger slide, the petting zoo, and more. Making it a great place for families to come and spend a day.
Live music performed by talented local artists and demonstrations by gymnasts and dancers will also keep the crowds entertained at Haines Park and along Main Street. Stick around for a free concert by “Stolen Mojo” starting at 9 pm.
Lastly, don’t miss out on the 4th Annual Meatball Eating Contest hosted by Amici’s Cucina!
Check out the Taste of Waterville on August 2nd from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm and bring your appetite. For a complete menu and a schedule of events visit Taste of Waterville. We’ll see you downtown.
