Lake George Regional Park

Easily accessible off Route 2 in Canaan, Lake George Regional Park offers a wide array of activities and amenities to visitors throughout the year. At a mile and a half long, Lake George is a spring-fed body of water nestled within a steep valley surrounded by 320 acres of land. The park features two sand beaches, playing fields and extensive hiking and walking trails, are great for swimming, fishing, boating, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and exploring the outdoors.

Events held throughout the year include the Annual Fishing Derby held each February, the Lake George Fiddle Festival, and Maine Mountain Bike Challenge held each fall.

Just 30 minutes from Waterville and no more than 10 minutes outside of Skowhegan, Lake George Regional Park—the only waterfront park within a 30-mile radius—offers the perfect way to spend the day with friends and family.
